The Blasteroid Rocket proves that humble beginnings can't keep a rocket from soaring to all kinds of heights. In this case, the humble beginnings are the materials for the launch pad--a few thin pieces of foam, a straw, a flexible tube, a rubber band, a ring, and something called a blaster ball pump. Directions for assembly are clear, but it's hard to believe such a lightweight device will send anything into the air. Keep the faith. Slide either of the enclosed rockets (one is 6 inches long; the other 9 inches long) onto the straw-like tube, step on the ball pump, and compressed air shoots through the tube, sending your rocket as far as 30 feet into the air!
