Our testers were happy to find that this Lionel Train Set comes complete with detailed instructions, which clearly show users how to power up the locomotive with the transformer and keep it moving smoothly and dependably. The transformer itself features a power-on indicator, a direction button to have the train moving forward or in reverse, a tolling bell, a whistle/horn, and a throttle knob to control the locomotive's speed.
